1.     Santorini Cathedral – ideal for big Orthodox weddings 

The church is located in Fira, the center of the island, and has a breathtaking views to the caldera. If you choose to have your Santorini wedding there, you can ask your photographer to have some photos just outside the church. If the wedding is at sunset – it is even better as you will be able to capture one of the most amazing sunset in the world and have as backdrop the sun dying into the sea.

2. Agios Markos: a small Greek Orthodox chapel located on top of a hill and with amazing views to the caldera and the west side of the island. It is just the most stunning place to have your wedding. 3. Anastasis in Imerovigli: Small church ideal for medium size weddings. No words can describe the beauty of the location.

4.Oia Panagia Platsani : A beautiful Greek Orthodox church - located in Oia on the main road, the most romantic place of the island. Amazing views and beautiful interior. 

5. For civil weddings the most popular chapel is SANTA IRENE (AGIA IRINI). The chapel is private and located outside Fira and it is ideal for weddings for up to 30-40 persons. It is the combination of a wild beauty and romance.

It all started on a plane ride from Boston to Newark...  Girl stole boy's window seat, boy thinks girl's cute, boy asks girl to sit outside during their layover...the rest is history...and now Froso and Sy are in Porto Heli for a truly emotional wedding.

Froso and Sy have chosen Porto Heli for their destination wedding because Froso used  to spend the summers with family and friends in the nearby area.

The wedding ceremony was a simple Greek Orthodox  and took place outdoors in a traditional Greek chapel called Agios Aimilianos. The couple decided to have a welcome drink and wedding reception buffet at a lovely hotel nearby at Hinitsa Bay. The food was stunning accompanied by a romantic full moon and the tranquil serenity of Hinitsa bay. The decoration color was blue and white and the wedding reception tables were  decorated with small blue and white center pieces, blue star fish and scattered blue diamonds.
