While in a romantic trip in Krabi Thailand  1st April 2016 Chris proposed to Stacey . They stayed together for 16 months and they decided to celebrate  their wedding in Santorini in a wonderful, romantic  place  at the rim of the caldera at sunset time . The wedding took place in July 2017 and 53 guests attended the civil ceremony.
The wedding theme  was romantic bird cage and they were placed in all reception tables, wish book and candy table and they were full with  lilac, cream, white, pink, silver colors flowers.
The Bridal bouquet was off white , blush and lilac roses

There were  2 Bridesmaids, and they wore the Corwin Multi Tie dress from Coast in Lavender. Stacey picked Lavender as it was her Nan’s favorite color so that there would be a part of her at our wedding.

There were also 2 groomsman and 1 best man. Kev (Best man) Dave and Craig were groomsman. They wore a blue suit from Charles Tyrwhitt London. The suit was very light weight but formal so perfect for a Santorini warm wedding and the look Chris wanted.

Stacey's  designer of her dress was San Patrick Barcelona and was called ‘Sandrine’ I actually bought the dress in Dubai when I was on my own in ‘The Wedding Shop’, but I had previously been to London with my Mum to look for a dress and I had found the style that suited me ‘Mermaid/trumpet’ so I just had to find the dress. I fell in love with the ruffles at the bottom of my dress, it sold it for me. I tried on about 35 dresses before I found the one.

The bride wore  a hair piece and earrings from ‘Ivory and Co’ it is a bridal range from the John  Lewis department store. They were elegant and fitted our romantic look we wanted for the wedding.
Stacey's hair was  Hollywood waves. The morning of the wedding, Stacey  decided not to wear her veil as she  loved her hair so much and wanted it on show. The make up  had a fresh look with pink lips to fit the romantic theme of the wedding.

The wedding cake also was a bird cage escorted with different flavor cup cakes

The wedding ceremony took place in one of the most stunning venues in Santorini Gem. The couple has chosen this place because of the location, price and the fact we could have both the ceremony and reception in one place and they let us extend for 2 extra hours from 3pm. We also liked that guests did not have to rent rooms there as it was only a venue. The color palette was light pink mixed with levander

As per Stacey the most memorable moments were :  seeing Chris for the first time down the aisle and  dancing with her  Dad to ‘You are the Sunshine of my Life’ and the first dance with Chris ‘At Last’ Etta James and this was the perfect match with the fireworks blowing in the sky  of Santorini

The favorite part of the wedding was having all families and friends in one place sharing their wedding day with them. Also the Greek dancers, the musicians the Greek food and the fireworks made this wedding unique and special for the couple and their guests .

Here are some questions we asked the bride and we think you can get benefits from her advise

Did anything funny or unusual happen at your wedding? During Chris’ speech when he was acknowledging absent family, he accidentaly ‘killed off’ one of my uncles who was sat at one of the wedding tables – my Uncle Andrew is still alive it was my uncle Allan that had passed away. Chris said it was ‘Andrew” Andrew luckily made a joke of it and all the guests laughed so much!.
The couple after their wedding for honeymoon they went to
Singapore and Bali – we stayed in a perfected honeymoon hotel in Bali called ‘The Bale’ in Nusa Dua we had our own private villa with a pool. The Fullerton hotel in Singapore was also amazing!
I want to say thank  to my wedding planner Marryme in Greece for all her help, from designing the wedding, finding the right vendors, legal document support, pre wedding meetings during our initial visit, during our stay in Santorini and the whole wedding day management and coordination and her personal touch to make sure that everything will be as planned
Below is an advise form the bride which I believe is worth reading and taking into consideration while you are planning your destination wedding in Santorini island Greece
"
Plan well in advance – I started doing a lot the year before the wedding so I had time at the end to spend on detail. Best choice I made getting and extending the videographer 2 more hours to film the dancers and fireworks."

Nigerean wedding  in Santorini

Ceremony and reception took place in La Mateze with 70 family members, and friends. Dele’s family came all the way from Nigeria . The main reason Binta choose La Malteze was the location as the venue is overlooking the caldera and the place was the ideal match for her wedding theme and style  . The theme of the wedding was White, grey and blush pink  and the style was elegant, stylish yet understated.
Binta  had three bridesmaids , who  wore a pale pink, floor length dress with a high split and low neckline. Stylish, weather friendly and in keeping with the theme – stylish and understated. Dele  had three Groomsmen who all wore a light grey tailored suit with a white shite and Gold personalised cuff links. The suit was made by a London designer.
Binta wedding dresses. Binta stated
·         I had three dress One was originally by Rosa Clara, whoever this was change dramatically after purchasing it in New York. My London tailor changed the neck like into a V shape with a centre join and re designed it from a line to mermaid. I loved the material of the Rosa Clara gown but wanted a more fitted look for the occasion.
·         The second dress was a traditional Yourba dress called and Iro n Buba made out of a robust Nigerian white lace.
·         The final dress was Berta inspired. The same London tailor was able to recreate the Berta dress using French lace purchased in New York with a silk underlay.
Binta wore simple hooped earrings encrusted with stone along with stone encrusted bangles.  Malkia was Binta’s  hair and make-up designer, who was flown in from London. Binta  wanted a soft understated look.
The wedding cake was a three tier cake. The bottom tiers was a Caribbean fruit cake while the top was a vanilla sponge.
First dance songs was John Legened
The favourite part was the reception and what made unique our wedding was that
Having all my family and friends celebrate with us for a weekend.
The saxophonist made a difference in their  wedding reception
Our photographer and video were excellent and we had very nice results
Olympia Giannopoulou our wedding planner from Marryme in Greece, she helped me all the way from the beginning  to the end. After proposing various venues, we finally make up our minds for La Malteze. Then she found and organized the vendors and had an input into specialist items. She helped me with the planning  form day one and she had the day of the wedding the ceremony and reception overall coordination. She even found within 48 hours video, as this was a surprise from my family ( a real sort notice to find a good videographer in Santorini)
My advise to other brides is start the planning as soon as possible

We had a wonderful honey moon A south African safari and a beach holiday in the Seychelles.
