This stunning couple, who wants to keep its anonymity but allows us to share with you photos of their  wedding , they are here  today in SANTORINI for their wedding  and ready to get married in Greece. The ceremony  took  place in La Malteze hotel in Imerovigli having behind them the beautiful back drop of the sun dying into the Santorini waters.

I can hear the bride saying to her bride maids how he proposed to her…. He kneel down and gave me the diamond ring asking me to marry him….. so romantic , so sweet.

The reason they  choose Santorini
They went there after they met and they gave a promise to have their wedding there. The couple are non Greeks, live in London and they have family all around the world.  This wedding in SANTORINI was a good excuse to everyone to have a vacation trip to the Greek islands.

The decoration

The decoration is  simple in  brown colors and ivory roses. On the tables  scattered some brown Greek koufeta, looked as real pebbles in brown color  from Hatzigianakis company.

Rice and rose petals – Rice is places into nice baskets, decorated with ribbons and lace and by the end of the ceremony rice will be thrown to them-  rice symbolizes  the prosperity for the Greeks

Spring wedding in the Greek islands - inspirations

Spring is here. I am sitting in my balcony and I feel the breeze from the sea in my face. The weather is beautiful and sunny and the Aegean sea is calm with  beautiful colors.  The house wifes have started the Spring and Easter cleaning and the little houses are shining into their blue and white customs. I am preparing my weddings for this year, writting down details for each wedding in the Greek islands. I though it would be nice to have a break and use my imagination to create  an inspiration wedding. I used photographs from real weddings done in the past and photos from the instagram. I think I came our with a nice combination. Weddings in Monemvasia - Greek Orthodox wedding in Monemvasia

A wedding in  Monemvasia is one of the places, where your wedding can be  a real dream. Imagine your wedding into a real medieval castle built by the sea, which is alive full of flowers, small shops, Byzantine churches and  traditional stone houses.

Civil weddings are held in the local town hall and then you can have your photo shots with your personal photographer within the castle.

Greek Orthodox weddings can be held within the castle church. Jewish and Hindu weddings in the local hotel under the shade of  Monemvasia rock.

Wedding receptions can be held in the castle in traditional tavermas or outside the castle in a fish taverna. Monemvasia is a perfect destination wedding for weddings up to 80 persons. The local first class hotel is the ideal location for  a Monemvasia wedding reception with breathtaking views to Monemvasia rock.
