Your wedding day is one of the most important ones in your life. And you play the major role on this ceremony . For a successful wedding in the Greek islands you must prepare yourself as early as possible.

For the day of your wedding here are some key points to make your day the most memorable  

Preparation of your wedding day 

In order to feel comfortable and look stunning for this important and unique day of your life, your hair must be   well and   nicely groomed and  feel  comfortable . The preparation must start 6 months prior to  your wedding day to see the desired results to the fullest extent. Without spending a fortune, just be consistent.

Fist and most important is your hair. With the hair dryer, dyes and styling products, they are easily destroyed and dull.

Visiting the hair salon every 1 to 1.5 months for cleansing the blade will help a lot. It would also help   a good moisturizing hair mask or some other more specialized treatment, to rejuvenate  your  hair . You should also decide to change the color of your hair, do so several months before your wedding day, so that you can correct any issues

Face

Equally important area with hair is your  face. Also 6 months before your wedding day in the Greek islands  it's good to start cleaning your skin and moisturizing. Use a moisturizing cream daily, specific to your skin type, and a moisturizing facial mask once a week without forgetting the neck and décolleté area. If your skin suffers from acne or some other problem then it is advisable to contact your dermatologist for a specialist treatment early.

This piece of skin care early on will clearly bring much better results to the piece of bridal makeup you will do.

Legs

Another key point to consider is legs, especially if you are planning to wear a short wedding dress or dress at the reception. Prefer to depilate and not to use a razor, so there is no risk of cutting and leaving a mark. A good pedicure is essential, not just in the nails, but also in the heels and all the hard points of your foot. You alone can exfoliate on the feet once a week, as well as use a good foot cream for hydration, combined with socks to wear in the evening after applying the cream.

 Hands

It is also good to use a good moisturizer on your rest of your body without forgetting the area of ​​the hands that will be one of the protagonists of the evening because of the wedding ring. The photographer will take a lot of photos .

How to count the alcohol and wine for your wedding party

Although seems easy figuring out the alcohol you need for your guests is confusing. You have so many things to prepare for your destination wedding and to count what you need for the drinks is really hard and time consuming.

There is basic wedding alcohol calculator , that provides you basic at least information hoe to make your count  and it is based on the number of your guests  Below is a count sheet

Open Bar for 100 GUESTS:

• 70 bottles of wine
• 175 bottles of beer
• 15 bottles of liquor (750 ml)
• 20 bottles of champagne for toast (optional)

150 GUESTS:

• 
• 105 bottles of wine
• 266 bottles of beer
• 22 bottles of liquor (750 ml)
• 30 bottles of champagne for toast (optional)

Calculate How Many Drinks Come in a Bottle You’re Serving

• 5 glasses of wine in a 750 ml wine bottle (including champagne)
• 12 drinks in a 750 ml spirit bottle

Boho wedding in Santorini

No matter how many times I am  visiting  Santorini for myweddings, it is all new to me and I always discover something  new that I love. The cliffside, the whitewashed houses, the blue domes, the black sand beaches and of course the wonderful sunset create such a romantic place for a destination wedding. 

While they were to make the decision for their wedding both instantly were keen on Santorini island 

The place that  stole their heart  was  Venetsanos winery  at the rim of the caldera for the ceremony  with  a simple  but elegant set up  They enjoyed  every single moment of the ceremony as well as the drinks after the ceremony. For their reception a sea side beach bar was chosen and the party went up to 2.00 a.m. in the morning.

Boho wedding in Kea island- Greece 

Kea island is one of the jewels in the Mediterranean sea and a very unique place for a Boho wedding. The islands is still undestroyed by the mass tourism and a lot of couples the choose Kea island for a destination wedding in Greece. Still unspoiled is a dreamy place to enjoy a magical sunset and have an intimate wedding in the local town hall which is a beautiful  well preserved mansion house. Then , you can scroll in the white washed  alleys , take pictures and then have a reception in a hotel balcony either semi private or private overlooking the wonderful Aegean sea. The reception tables were decorated in an elegant way with wild flowers and their smell and view created a very warm and romantic atmosphere. Just like they imagine it .

This beautiful couple Stacey and Chris  they first met in Dubai on the Palm Jumeriah in Dubai in 2011

While in a romantic trip in Krabi Thailand  1st April 2016 Chris proposed to Stacey . They stayed together for 16 months and they decided to celebrate  their wedding in Santorini in a wonderful, romantic  place  at the rim of the caldera at sunset time . The wedding took place in July 2017 and 53 guests attended the civil ceremony. 

The wedding theme  was romantic bird cage and they were placed in all reception tables, wish book and candy table and they were full with  lilac, cream, white, pink, silver colors flowers.

The Bridal bouquet was off white , blush and lilac roses 

   

There were  2 Bridesmaids, and they wore the Corwin Multi Tie dress from Coast in Lavender. Stacey picked Lavender as it was her Nan’s favorite color so that there would be a part of her at our wedding.

There were also 2 groomsman and 1 best man. Kev (Best man) Dave and Craig were groomsman. They wore a blue suit from Charles Tyrwhitt London. The suit was very light weight but formal so perfect for a Santorini warm wedding and the look Chris wanted.

Stacey's  designer of her dress was San Patrick Barcelona and was called ‘Sandrine’ I actually bought the dress in Dubai when I was on my own in ‘The Wedding Shop’, but I had previously been to London with my Mum to look for a dress and I had found the style that suited me ‘Mermaid/trumpet’ so I just had to find the dress. I fell in love with the ruffles at the bottom of my dress, it sold it for me. I tried on about 35 dresses before I found the one.

The bride wore  a hair piece and earrings from ‘Ivory and Co’ it is a bridal range from the John  Lewis department store. They were elegant and fitted our romantic look we wanted for the wedding.

Stacey's hair was  Hollywood waves. The morning of the wedding, Stacey  decided not to wear her veil as she  loved her hair so much and wanted it on show.The make up  had a fresh look with pink lips to fit the romantic theme of the wedding.

The wedding ceremony took place in one of the most stunning venues in Santorini Gem. The couple has chosen this place because of the location, price and the fact we could have both the ceremony and reception in one place and they let us extend for 2 extra hours from 3pm. We also liked that guests did not have to rent rooms there as it was only a venue. The color palette was light pink mixed with levander

As per Stacey the most memorable moments were :  seeing Chris for the first time down the aisle and  dancing with her  Dad to ‘You are the Sunshine of my Life’ and the first dance with Chris ‘At Last’ Etta James and this was the perfect match with the fireworks blowing in the sky  of Santorini

The favorite part of the wedding was having all families and friends in one place sharing their wedding day with them. Also the Greek dancers, the musicians the Greek food and the fireworks made this wedding unique and special for the couple and their guests .

Here are some questions we asked the bride and we think you can get benefits from her advise 

Did anything funny or unusual happen at your wedding? During Chris’ speech when he was acknowledging absent family, he accidentaly ‘killed off’ one of my uncles who was sat at one of the wedding tables – my Uncle Andrew is still alive it was my uncle Allan that had passed away. Chris said it was ‘Andrew” Andrew luckily made a joke of it and all the guests laughed so much!.
The couple after their wedding for honeymoon they went to Singapore and Bali – we stayed in a perfected honeymoon hotel in Bali called ‘The Bale’ in Nusa Dua we had our own private villa with a pool. The Fullerton hotel in Singapore was also amazing!

I want to say thank  to my wedding planner Marryme in Greece for all her help, from designing the wedding, finding the right vendors, legal document support, pre wedding meetings during our initial visit, during our stay in Santorini and the whole wedding day management and coordination and her personal touch to make sure that everything will be as planned
