This is it, your big day has finally arrived! The hours are rushing by, people are running around getting the preparations ready and your phone will not stop ringing.

Take a moment and breathe. Nobody ever said getting married was going to be easy. If you’re anything like all the other soon-to-be brides, I’m sure you’re worried about how you’re going to look in front of all of your guests. Here’s a few tips to help you nail your perfect wedding look.

1. Stop obsessing about it, silly.

It’s one of the biggest days of your life and you want everything to be perfect, including you.  It helps to internalize that perfection out of those photos will come from a well-rested, happy bride. Your guests are coming to celebrate your love and great accomplishment; they are here to support you and they are going to do that no matter how you look.

The sooner you can relieve the incessant thinking over your big day, the better you’re going to feel. This will exactly show the essence of your confidence and positive-outlook on those wedding photos.

2. Make sure you’re eating enough.

Your wedding is getting close and you probably are looking at those slices of cake with a feeling of dread; knock it off and go have some. It’s essentially not worth the hungry-eyes on the aisle portraits. Regardless, not eating enough is not only terrible for your health, but it will help you look hungry, tired, and cold.

If you want to achieve the legendary bridal glow, make sure you’re eating enough good food during,  and prior to your big day.

3. Make sure you’re sleeping enough.

Just like eating, sleeping is good for you, especially for your skin. Getting enough rest and getting the right rest is going to make a world of difference when you’re aiming to move gracefully in your wedding dress. Getting 8 hours a night on days leading up to your big day is a good start to looking your best.

4. Plan your hairstyle in advance.

Inevitably one of the main stressors on bridal week is hair and wardrobe malfunctions. The key to solving this is proper planning. Figure out exactly what your hair, make-up, and wardrobe are going to be as far in advance as you can.

Life will happen and might force you to consider some changes - and that’s okay. Make those decisions as guided as you can, and make appointments as early as possible. Spend some extra bucks on professional hair and make-up, so you can rest assured that they got you covered on all angles.

5. Take a mental health day.

If ever there was a time to take a day, it’s the day before your wedding. You have undoubtedly earned a day respite from the stress and fuss that goes into planning a wedding. Get some of your friends together and hit the spa. A nice day in a relaxing environment will help you feel reinvigorated for the best day of your life.

If the spa isn’t your thing, go somewhere else that is. Massages and hot towels aren’t the cure, (though they are wonderful) although being with your friends can encourage the feelings of comfort and relaxation that your bridal soul can thrive from.

Stay convinced that the perfect look is always the look of a happy, healthy bride. This gathering is a collection of friends and family who have bended over backwards to travel all this way to celebrate your love. If they shower you with confidence and support, accept it with smiling eyes and an open heart.

The most important thing is that you’re going to be just fine.
