destination wedding Santorini  http://www.marryme.com.g r

Mariela and Adam  were always dreaming to have her wedding abroad and when I proposed Santorini in our initial meeting both of them they were delighted to hear that. When they saw pictures from previous Santorini weddings, wedding ceremonies and reception locations overlooking the caldera, they felt, that was the place for their destination wedding. Santorini and Greece was the place for them. As the bride has routes from Bulgaria, it was very convenient for the bride’s relatives to attend the wedding. Santorini island with its whitewashed villages , the blue domes, the breathtaking caldera  and the beautiful sunsets was place to have their  wedding. The couple start dreaming their wedding in Santorini

The wedding ceremony took place in a hotel gazebo in romantic Imerovigli followed by the wedding reception. The couple was extremely happy from the hotel services  as they could accommodate the cocktail hour, the ceremony and the reception in private in the same place. The Hotel villa was just right on top of the caldera overlooking Thirasia and the volcano. The hotel staff was very helpful and the hotel owners made the process organizing the wedding very easy.

The flowers were ordered in a local florist and the wedding  decoration colors  were purple and green nicely matching with the rest of the decoration, the gazebo decoration and the table setting design. The wish book table was the most photographed in this wedding designed in pure white colors and had a contract withe the rest of the decoration. Also other details such as funs, small bottles of water with couple's monogram on, the wedding cake, the pearl napkins rings(handmade by Olympia), the table set up , which was around the swimming pool with the view in the caldera,  the name tags on  corks and the printed menus all added together they created a stylish wedding in Santorini designed  Olympia

As per Mariela The décor was beautiful, very elegant and stylish. Favourite part was when everyone went back to take pictures with the sunset, DJ was playing music loud, everyone was in a rush to get the perfect picture of the sunset with us.

The reason we chose Olympia and Marry me in Greece was her way of approaching the bride as well as the reasonable prices.

Now few words about the couple itself.
They met through a mutual friend and Adam proposed the day they bought a house. Mariela felt that he was the one in her life and they were to tie the knot after they took an extended tour in Europe and they knew we will be inseparable after we return. The length of their engagement was 8 moths. Our photographer Nathan was great , very reasonably priced and was recommended by Olympia. Our wedding theme was dark purple, silver and light green. Olympia was just great and we trust her to do everything, from recommending venues, to finding bakers. Flower, hair and make up for everyone. We had 2 bridesmaid and one maid of honour and their dresses were matching the color theme , purple dresses- in tone with the colors of the wedding. Greece was itself a honey moon and we want to thank Olympia for our lovely marriage in Santorini as well as all the Santorini suppliers for the success of it. Planning your perfect wedding in Greek islands with Marryme in Greece

Steven and Daria, Mia and Nick, Mariela and  Adam, Hannah and Derek, Elina and John, Astrid and Christian,Suzan and Morten are the names of the couples , who decided to tie the knot in Santorini and other popular or historic locations in Greece, a country with a romantic locations, incredible food, wines and most indisputable the Greek hospitality. A land which is given by the Greek Gods breath taking wedding locations and that is why, it is considered trendy and fashionable to have a wedding in Greece. Especially Santorini is considered to be one of the 10 top wedding destination locations around the world. Before you decide for a destination wedding there are certain thing that you should take into consideration and here they are.  For more information and details you can contact us or visit our site

1. Make sure that chose and enthousiastic, reliable and hard working wedding planner.

Your wedding day is one of the days that we call landmarks in our lives. No matter how good you are in planning, you cannot be running around for the details. The best thing to do is to hire a local wedding planner who speaks Greek, has extensive knowledge of the area of your wedding, has excellent public relations with the local people  and let her coordinate your wedding. That will save you money, time and stress.

2. Wedding packages

Although we have created for Santorini wedding packages, we suggest to create your wedding package. Each wedding has its own needs and each bride have different things in mind. Choose your own wedding ceremony and reception venue, your cake, your flowers, sent us samples of what you dream and we price it for you. We just now created a custom made wedding for you. That reflects your personality and the wedding that you want to have. This is why our brides are happy as we are good listeners and we only help you to avoid pitfalls or we are giving clever alternatives to save money and may be have some add on to your wedding in Greece.

3. Legaties and paper work.

This is may be the hardest part. But do not worry that is why we are here for. As soon as we sign the contract with you, we are sending in writing you the paper work needs to be done in detail along with the time frame within should should be issued and to be sent to us.

4. Which location in Greece.
Greece is so beautiful and this is a hard question. Some also other questions will be good to answer your selves before picking the wedding location.
Do I want an intimate ceremony to inlcude only immediate family and close friends?
Do I want the ceremony and the reception to be held at the same venue?
Do I need accommodation for me and some members of the family in the wedding and reception venue?
Do I want a Greek Orthodox wedding, a Catholic may be, a civil or just a symbolic wedding?
Do I want a wedding in the town hall or outdoors? In some locations we must have the civil wedding only at the town hall. This is a big consideration for the couple, so you must keep that in mind.
Greece offers some spectacular locations which is worth to consider before you decide for your wedding ceremony and reception. We can do various wedding locations in Greece, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, Monemvasia, Nafplion, Porto heli,Skopelos and a lot more. You can see the location by visiting our site Marryme in Greece

5. Which venue

We have incredible venues depending on your wedding location For example in Athens you can have a wedding reception in a lake, in a museum or by the water, or overlooking the Acropolis. In Santorini amazing venues with breathtaking views to the caldera available for wedding ceremony and reception a chapel yard, a winery, a luxury hotel, a beach bar, a beach wedding - you name it.
Nafplion ideal for a romantic wedding, Monemvasia a wedding into a real live castle, Skopelos at the base of the chapel where Mama Mia was filmed.
The choices are a lot and for all budgets. Think carefully for the number of the guests, the type of the ceremony you want, the style of your dining. Some of the venues are sometimes over advertised, especially in Santorini and in some cases must book 2 years in advance. So start carefully and make the decisions very quick. In some cases some venues can be overpriced for expample hiring a boat during sunset and have the ceremony before the boat departs and the reception on the boat but if you can afford it, by all means give this luxury to yourselves and your guests. Just imagine while sipping champagne to overlook the Santorini sunset.

6. Think about the fine details and your budget
A destination wedding in Greece is cheaper than a wedding in U.K or in USA. That gives you some extra money, which may want to spend it in some extras to create a wow wedding. You can add some traditional Greek local musicians, dancers or may be some fireworks or a wish book table or a sweets and desert table.

7. Photographer
Our suggestion is to choose a good local photographer. Photos remain for ever and it is wise to have a few hours of photography nit just the ceremony time. We are working with good artist photographers, whose work can make your destination wedding in the Greek islands and amazing love story.

8. Accommodation and guests
Think about your accommodation and your guests. Most important is how much you want to spend. Usually the couples tends to choose to stay in the hotel where the ceremony or the reception will take place. For the guests usually we propose 1 or 2 hotels that will be up to your guests budget.

9. Pre and post wedding activities to be considered.

Your guests they are coming to your wedding and they pay for their stay and accommodation. Most couples they are organize a pre and post wedding events. For a wedding abroad and especially in Greece can be a dinner in a Greek traditional tavern, a boat sunset trip, a winery visit, Greek cooking lessons and a lot more.

10. Lay back and enjoy planning
We are professional and we always do more to satisfy you.
Enjoy every moment of your wedding and we will be here to help you with every aspect f your wedding

Our Santorini wedding
santorini elegant wedding http://www.marryme.com.gr

Diana  & Albert tied the knot in Santorini in June 2015 and they said their vows in front of people and God at the highest point in Santorini in Profitis Ilias cliff yard

Here are the questions that Diana answered
1.    How and where did you meet We knew of each other through mutual friends but we officially met at a bank I worked at that my husband went to.

2..    Your proposal - who popped the question and how? My husband asked to meet him at the bank where I worked in order to open a joint account. Naturally, I was annoyed because I was running errands and didn’t have time to go because it was last minute. He insisted almost causing us to get into a fight. I arrived dressed in sweatpants, no makeup, hair a mess. He arranged a scenario with the bank manager that we couldn’t open an account unless we were married. Since I worked there for 3 years I started arguing yes we can because obviously I knew federal banking rules. I guess you can say I almost blew the whole thing until he got on one knee and proposed. I was pretty shocked. I choked on my pretzel and looked at him confused. I actually thought it was a joke and asked “Are you kidding me?” When I realized everyone was staring I knew it was not a joke and I said yes lol.

3.    When did you know he was “the one”? Not until we separated. I was never a traditional girl that wanted a huge wedding. So when I was forced to have one I can’t say it was the best day of my life. He knew I always wanted to go away somewhere far just the 2 of us but I did the big wedding for the family. It wasn’t until after we got back together (after our separation),  when he told me he wanted to take me to Greece to renew our vows since that’s what I always wanted, did I realize he was the one.

4.   How long have you been engaged? A year and a half (original engagement)

5.    Where was your wedding ceremony? The original wedding ceremony was in Philadelphia, PA USA. The vow renewal ceremony was in Santorini, Greece.

6.    It was a symbolic wedding?  YES - We had a nonreligious vow renewal. It was just the 2 of us, photographers, and the celebrant. It was on a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. The most memorable moment was reading our own vows.

9.  How did Marryme in Greece  help in your wedding? They arranged the venue and coordinated with the photographer and the celebrant. We had a simple vow renewal but it was the location that was very important to me which turned  out exactly how I wanted.

10.  How and why did you choose your dress? I had my dress custom made. It was an idea I envisioned when I thought about Greece. I wanted it to be light, flowly, and feminine. I had a short lace top made and a long silk skirt that blew in the wind. It was the perfect Greek Island outfit.

11.  What was the style you were going for?  Classy, simple, and angelic.

12.  Can you describe the accessories you wore? I didn’t wear any accessories. I wanted it to be simple and more focus on the outfit than anything else.

13. What was your favorite part of the wedding? I’d have to say reading our own vows to each other.

14.  What made your wedding unique and special? We wrote our own vows and it was done just how we wanted to originally, just the 2 of us. It was intimate and about us.

15. Did anything funny or unusual happen at your wedding? It was 100000 degrees that day, probably the hottest day of the summer. Our clothes were stuck to our bodies. I was running into hotel lobbies between pictures to stand under a fan.

16. What is your advice for other brides? Wear a light dress if the weather is hot
It’s GREECE! Try to remember that it’s YOUR day and YOUR moment. Don’t let family and friends stress you out.
17.  Where did you go on your honeymoon and would you recommend it? We never had a chance to go on a honeymoon when we first got married. We planned on going to Greece but we couldn’t make it after our wedding. This trip was our long overdue honeymoon which is why it was so special to us. And yes I would most certainly recommend it!
